OSCAR’S PLACE: Oscar de la Renta will make his debut on Mount Street in London’s Mayfair with a shop set to open in the autumn. The space, the former home of the Nicky Clarke salon, will be the designer’s first London flagship, and has floor-to-ceiling windows on Mount Street and Berkeley Square. “Our arrival on Mount Street has been a well-considered process in terms of cementing the brand’s flagship store in the best location, and we are delighted with the outcome,” said Alex Bolen, chief executive officer of Oscar de la Renta LLC. “The mix of local and international traffic on Mount Street is well suited to [the brand].” The deal was brokered by Grosvenor London estate which has created the mix of luxury and fashion shops on Mount Street and other neighboring streets.
