CFDA FOR OPENSKY: OpenSky.com, the shopping site spanning food, style and design that allows members to curate their experience based on their interests and buy products endorsed by celebrities and tastemakers, is teaming up with the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Beginning Thursday, OpenSky members will be able to purchase accessories from rotating collections designed by CFDA members. The debut collection will include select pieces and exclusives from Diane von Furstenberg, House of Waris, Selima Optique and Fallon. “One of the most exciting elements of this partnership is that it gives us the opportunity to both showcase and help support the many talented designers we work with by bringing them to a whole new audience of shoppers,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive of the CFDA.
The CFDA will share in the profits generated by its curated shop on the site, helping to further its key programs and scholarships. Since it launched on April 5, 2011, OpenSky has gained more than one million members.
