GAGA FOR THE IPAD: With its first iPad app, which launched today, Vogue magazine is trying something a little different. Rather than containing the entire issue, the app, called Vogue Cover Exclusive, will hone in on the cover celebrity and feature exclusive content to accompany the cover feature. For the launch March edition, it centers around cover girl Lady Gaga, featuring a never-before-seen interview with her, video segments from the shoots, and an audio diary of Gaga on tour. The March launch is sponsored by MAC Cosmetics. The app costs 99 cents. “With the Cover Exclusive app, we have created a custom brand of journalism targeted at the Twitter generation — a digitally enhanced version of our cover story, with exclusive video, audio and photographic outtakes,” Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour said.
