ON SHOW: Fashion aficionados in Florence have plenty to toast this month, with new exhibits opening at both the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo and the Gucci Museo. From March 21 to June 1, Ferragamo will unveil its “Secret Archives” — a collection of patents, photographs, tools and shoes — allowing visitors to explore the Italian fashion house’s ties with cinema icons, artisanship and sky-high pumps. Meanwhile, from March 17 to Sept. 4, Gucci will showcase Paul Fryer’s “Lo Spirito Vola” (“The Spirit Flies”), a contemporary art exhibition featuring Fryer’s “Pietà” wax statue of Jesus sitting in an electric chair, among other works.
