GOING DEEP: Omega showed off its environmental side last week when the watch company’s president Stephen Urquhart visited United Nations headquarters and Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to host a screening of Planet Ocean, a documentary about the state of the world’s oceans directed by environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film, which is narrated by actor Josh Duhamel, uses aerial and underwater photography to highlight the dangers that threaten the oceans and the planet.

“When Omega presented me with the Planet Ocean project, I accepted almost immediately; it was time to look at things directly, to illustrate and to denounce the dangers threatening our oceans and therefore our planet. This documentary is not intended to moralize, but rather to raise consciousness,” Arthus-Bertrand said.
