OLYMPIAN EFFORTS: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off the 2012 Olympic celebrations in London, attending a black-tie gala at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday night in honor of British athletes. The duchess wore a teal Jenny Packham dress to the event, where her husband told athletes: “Glory awaits you. You, our Olympians and Paralympians, will inspire people up and down this country, and far beyond its borders.” The event was called Our Greatest Team Rises, and featured performances by the dance group Spelbound, Take That singer Gary Barlow, and Will Young.
