CRITICAL MATTERS: NPR’s John Hockenberry will do the honors as moderator of this year’s D-Crit Conference for graduating students of the SVA MFA in Design Criticism. But “The Takeaway” host won’t be the only heavyhitter at the May 11 event at the SVA’s West Chelsea outpost. Paola Antonelli, MoMA’s senior curator of architecture and design, will deliver the keynote lecture. After presenting their thesis research, D-Crit students will be put through the paces by The Walker Arts Center’s Andrew Blauvelt; Dunne & Raby’d co-founder Fiona Raby; architects Mark Foster Gage and Michael Sorkin and the J. Max Bond Design for the Just City’s Toni Griffin.
