Macy's Fetes Brazil Campaign With Benefit

The event and silent auction raised $50,000 for the Brazil Foundation.

NO PASSPORT NEEDED: Francisco Costa and Carlos Falchi buzzed by Macy’s Herald Square flagship Tuesday night for “Brasil: A Magical Journey.” The Brazilian-born designers were among the first to check out the work of 27 celebrated artists from their homeland whose art is now on view through July 15. Costa designed a dress for the silent auction and a collection for the campaign. Macy’s Carnaval-inspired celebration also attracted pop star Fiuk, musicians Bebel Gilberto and Sergio Mendes and telenovela favorites Fiorella Mattheis and Raphael Viana. Rio-based chef Felipe Bronze helped to keep any hunger pains at bay. The event and silent auction raised $50,000 for the Brazil Foundation.

Costa will be back at the Herald Square store in a few weeks for a personal appearance.
