NEW YORK MINUTES: The Paris-based soul singer-songwriter Ayo has been making the most of this week’s stay in New York. Aside from serenading the guest of honor, Jean Paul Gaultier, and other attendees at Saturday’s Lycée Française gala, she gave Oluchi Orlandi, Lulu Gainsbourg and other VIPs a sampling of her new “Billie-Eve” album at Soho House. And she and her band had a Highline Ballroom gig set for Wednesday night. Friendly with such designers as Karl Lagerfeld, Vanessa Bruno and Kris Van Assche, Ayo has managed to squeeze in some shopping with stops at Moschino, Scoop and Earnest Sewn.
