New Versus Accessories Unveiled in Milan

On Sunday, Donatella Versace unveiled her first new volleys for Versus.

STEPPING ON THE GAS: If you want to get around town in the newly relaunched Versus brand, you can either strap on some towering, crystal-studded sandals and walk or get behind the wheel of a limited edition Lancia with a customized leather interior and logo upholstery. On Sunday, Donatella Versace unveiled her first new volleys for the brand — launched by her late brother in 1989 — based on handbags, shoes and steel jewelry designed by Christopher Kane. Men’s wear and women’s wear will follow for spring-summer 2010. Kane called the accessories “tough and glamour, effervescent and rock ’n’ roll,” showing off structured totes and evening clutches embellished with tasseled straps and metal hardware. Retail prices range from 700 to 2,000 euros, or $887 to $2,534 at current exchange rates. The cobranded car goes on sale next week.
