Montblanc Wants New York's Stories

The brand is asking New Yorkers to document their personal memories in the Montblanc Statue of Liberty Archive Book using their exclusive new fountain pen.

NATIONAL SPIRIT: Montblanc’s new $33,000 Statue of Liberty Artisan Edition writing instrument — limited to an edition of 50, symbolizing the number of states of the United States — might not be within everyone’s reach. But its celebratory promotion is much more inclusive: the brand is asking New Yorkers to document their personal stories and memories in the Montblanc Statue of Liberty Archive Book using the exclusive fountain pen, whether it be their arrival in the U.S., or memories from their first time seeing Lady Liberty. Until July 7, consumers can visit Montblanc’s flagship at 598 Madison Avenue to participate and be memorialized in Montblanc’s archives. The Statue of Liberty Artisan Edition, which goes on sale Wednesday, has 750 solid gold fittings, an engraved barrel, a citrin jewel and a mother-of-pearl Montblanc emblem.
