MISSONI ON DISPLAY: A new exhibit in Maribor, Slovenia, celebrates the accomplishments of Ottavio Missoni. Running from today through April 30, “Ottavio Missoni: the Genius of Color” opens at Vetrinjski Dvor Mansion-Theatre Hall and covers three facets of the multitalented Missoni’s life: his athletics — he was a finalist in the London Olympics’ 400-meter hurdles in 1948; his artwork, and his fashion designs. Maribor is this year’s European Capital of Culture, and the local Italian Embassy selected the Missoni exhibit to inaugurate the roundup of Italian cultural and artistic events in the city this month.
