THE RETURN OF FUN: For the past 18 months, the recession has put a deep freeze on New York market week fetes as companies cut travel and entertainment budgets. So the drinks and tray-passed nosh were especially welcome last week when JA Apparel hosted a party to show off its new black-and-white industrial showroom. JA chief executive officer and president Marty Staff held court as industry types thronged the revamped space on Tuesday. The party also drew a colorful cross section of New Yorkers including actors Michael Imperioli and Blair Underwood; Knicks legend Walt Frazier; Giants co-owner Jonathan Tisch; hip-hopper John Forte, and hotelier William Achenbaum.
