KORS IN BEIJING: Michael Kors has opened his first store in Beijing and its largest in China. The 2,400-square-foot store, located in the Shin Kong Place shopping mall, sells accessories and ready-to-wear from both the Michael Kors line and the more accessibly priced Michael Michael Kors collection. The store, which opened earlier this month, features a large format video screen showing the designer’s runway shows. Last year, the brand opened a large flagship in Hong Kong. This is the fifth Michael Kors flagship in China. “This city has such a fabulous energy. It has rapidly developed into a mecca for modern, cosmopolitan, global style, which makes it a perfect match for my design sensibility,” the designer said.
