Miansai Expands Into Leather Goods

A collection of wallets, belts and camera strap will launch for the holiday.

LEATHER UP: Miansai, the accessories label by Michael Saiger, continues to grow. Following the launch of a women’s collection last April, the Miami-based brand has expanded into leather goods for holiday 2013 with a collection of wallets, belts and camera straps — a “natural progression,” according to Saiger. The pieces — made from French calf and Italian leathers with accents of linen and woven, military-grade rope — feature hand-casted hardware, hidden stitching, hand-painted color-blocking and burnished edges. Wallets range from cardholders to bi-folds; each can hold up to five cards and boasts a slim design. The collection, which ranges from $105 to $245, will launch at the brand’s boutique accounts as well as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman on Oct. 1.
