MET IN CHINA: Now that the Costume Institute’s gala is done and dusted and its Charles James exhibition up and running, organizers are turning their attention to the East. Next spring’s exhibition is said to be all about China, though before that happens a fall one is being planned. The Asia-inspired one is in such early stages that neither a sponsor nor specific designers have committed.
