ALESSANDRA LOVES MELISSA: Footwear brand Melissa has revealed a new collaboration platform with celebrities who love the brand, tapping model Alessandra Ambrosio as its first guest designer. The new line, named “Loves Melissa,” will debut with two styles designed by Ambrosio next fall: the Melissa Incense Glitter, a delicate pump inspired by the ladylike style of the Fifties; and the Melissa Divine, a classic ballet flat.“Everyone in Brazil grew up wearing Melissa shoes,” Ambrosio told WWD. “I was so excited at the opportunity to offer my creative insight and personal taste.”
To celebrate the partnership, Ambrosio will appear on the cover of the seventh issue of Melissa’s biannual magazine, Plastic Dreams, featuring an editorial spread photographed by Sandrine Dulermo and Michael Labica.
The Alessandra Loves Melissa collection will become available in August at the recently opened Galerie Melissa flagship in SoHo.
