Mary Katrantzou, Vodafone Ink Deal for London Fashion Week

Partnership will allow the mobile phone company’s VIP guests access to the British designer’s runway shows and the chance to meet with her backstage.

LONDON — Vodafone U.K. will partner with Mary Katrantzou, allowing the mobile phone company’s VIP guests access to the British designer’s runway shows and the chance to meet with her backstage. In turn, Vodafone will sponsor Katrantzou’s shows for two seasons. Their partnership will kick off next month during London Fashion Week. “I'm really looking forward to be able to widen the fashion net to their customers, and bring them to the front line of fashion week,” said Katranzou during a news conference on Wednesday. Vodafone has teamed up with fashion designers in the past, including Richard Nicoll and Christopher Kane. "For us, this means we can give our customers a unique fashion experience at Mary’s catwalk show during London Fashion Week,” said Danielle Crook, Vodafone’s UK Director of Brand Marketing. The deal is part of Vodafone’s VIP program, which allows customers access to events related to motorsport, festivals, and fashion.
