Marcelo Burlon to Show at Pitti Uomo

Burlon, whose line is sold in about 400 stores around the world, will present his spring men’s wear collection with a special presentation.

PITTI PICK: Although the next edition of Pitti Uomo in January has yet to take place, the name of one guest brand at the international men’s wear trade show in June is already emerging.


WWD has learned that Milan-based Marcelo Burlon, who launched the Marcelo Burlon-County of Milan label in June 2012, will be among the designers invited by Pitti’s organizing body to show their collections at the fair.


Burlon, whose line is sold in about 400 stores around the world, including Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, among others, will present his spring 2015 men’s wear collection with a special presentation. Details are still to be defined.


Born as a T-shirt label, Marcelo Burlon-County of Milan in January is branching out into a total collection for men, including sweatshirts, Windbreakers and leather bomber jackets, all decorated with the brand’s signature prints, mixing elements inspired by both Argentina’s Patagonia, Burlon’s native region, and the Nineties’ rave and clubbing culture. Separately, Burlon collaborated with several brands, including Eastpack, Casio G-Shock and Borsalino, and is developing a special project with basketball player LeBron James.
