LUNA ROSSA READY TO RACE: After opting out of a race July 7 against Emirates Team New Zealand, Prada’s Luna Rossa sailing team is back in the game, confirming in a brief statement with no additional details that it will participate in the 34th America’s Cup Races, slated for September in San Francisco.

Team Luna Rossa Challenge backed out of the last race in protest against measures introduced by regatta director Iain Murray at the end of June. The conflict arose as participating teams and event leaders debated appropriate safety measures following the sudden death of Artemis Racing crew member Andrew “Bart” Simpson during a training session in May.
