“My legs really do look like that.” Hume – and guests including Annie Lennox, Marc Quinn, Kay Saatchi, Gillian Anderson, Peter Soros, Amanda Eliasch, Karen Groos, Jessica de Rothschild, Johnny Pigozzi and Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst – gathered Wednesday night to fete photographer Tierney Gearon, who unveiled her first solo show in London at Phillips de Pury & Company.
“Explosure” features Gearon’s experiments with double-exposure: Two photos fuse seamlessly to become one. “She brings out all of the in-between spaces, and I think that’s where we all are right now,” said her pal Quinn, referring to the eerie images of naked adults and children and frolicking bears. Soros admitted he’s a longtime fan of the wacky, high-energy photographer.
“I love Tierney. She’s so cool. She’s her own man.”
