LOEWE IN MILAN: On Thursday, Spanish luxury fashion house Loewe opened its first store in Milan.

The 1,830-square-feet boutique, which shows the new Casa Loewe concept that recently debuted in Tokyo, is located in an historic building on Via Montenapoleone, in the heart of the city’s Golden Triangle luxury shopping district.

Designed to communicate a cozy, home-like feeling, the store features ceilings in wood or decorated with frescoes, a ceramic tile floor, marble columns and linen curtains, while Loewe’s ready-to-wear collections, along with leather goods and accessories, are displayed on functional yet refined modern displays. Antique masterpieces, including a rare bench by William Morris and an “Owl” cabinet by Ambrose Heal, along with exclusive lighting solutions, exalt the sophisticated look of the space.

Strengthening its ties with the art industry, Loewe  teamed up with Italian artist Ugo La Pietra, who realized “Infinite Columns,” a range of five impressive ceramic sculptures which are showcased in the store, where smaller versions of the artworks will be available for purchase.
