LIVING LARGE: Looking for a place in Milan? There is a new gem on the city’s real estate market: Santo Versace has put his Milanese mansion up for sale but the price is steep — more than $62 million.
Located on the posh Via Dei Giardini, a stone’s throw from both the Brera district and the city’s Golden Triangle luxury shopping district, the 22,605-square-foot villa features four floors, a huge rooftop and a basement for the staff. In addition, the house is surrounded by a 4,758-square-foot private garden.
Sotheby’s, which in May 2000 sold the late Gianni Versace’s Casa Casuarina in Miami Beach for about $25 million, is handling the sale of the house, which is part of Santo Versace’s private assets.
