Hermès Artistic Director Pierre-Alexis Dumas to Receive Legion of Honor

More than 500 recipients of the French order, established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, were announced on the occasion of the Easter holiday in Europe.

LEGION AIR: Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès International, is to be decorated as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. More than 500 recipients of the French order, established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte, were announced on the occasion of the Easter holiday in Europe. The ministry of culture and education is recognizing Dumas, who has been in his present role since 2009, and co-artistic director since 2006. He is a sixth generation member of the Hermès clan and son of the late Jean-Louis Dumas, who had been its chief executive officer for almost three decades.
