Lands' End Enhances E-commerce for International Customers

The brand has partnered with global e-commerce platform provider Borderfree to enhance its online shopping experience for shoppers abroad.

LANDS’ END EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL REACH: Lands’ End has partnered with global e-commerce platform provider Borderfree to enhance its online shopping experience for international shoppers.

The new interface is geo-targeted based on the user’s IP address, which defaults to the country where the user is located. That automatically sets the local pricing as if one was ordering from a local site. It also displays all fees, such as duty, tax and shipping, and includes it in the order total at checkout. Before, users saw amounts in U.S. dollars and had to manually configure all related costs.

Lands’ End has been doing business in seven countries and has shipped to over 170 countries. The new platform can convert U.S. dollar amounts to more than 60 local currencies, thereby expanding the brand’s presence to consumers in as many countries.
