GAGA FOR MARTHA’S VINEYARD?: Is Lady Gaga going preppy? It appears that might be the case, as sources tell WWD the singer is in the process of purchasing a home in Martha’s Vineyard. (The singer’s rep could not be reached for comment.) Little is known about the property, but if the 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom, $25,000 a month Bel Air mansion she rented earlier this year is any indication, it’s likely no dump.
This isn’t the first time there’s been talk of Gaga buying a place to summer: rumors swirled in July that the New York City native had her eye on a place in Sagaponack, Long Island. Whatever the case, the pop star’s next real estate buy will surely be a step up from the Lower East Side apartment she called home before hitting it big. “[I] got the cheapest apartment I could find and ate s--t until somebody would listen,” she has said.
