TURNING JAPANESE: Famed French tea salon Ladurée, which enjoys cult status in Japan, has tapped one of the country’s most colorful designers, Tsumori Chisato, to art direct a special cherry-blossom-themed macaroon set for its 150th anniversary. Chisato worked with French chef Vincent Lemains on the conception of the sweet treat that will go on sale on March 1. A matching cherry blossom candle has also been created for the occasion.
