Kohl's Presses on With J.Lo and Anthony... Model Tweets...

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony might be splitting up, but their forthcoming apparel and accessories lines at Kohl’s Corp. are still on track.

KOHL’S PRESSES ON WITH J.LO AND ANTHONY: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony might be splitting up, but their forthcoming apparel and accessories lines at Kohl’s Corp. are still on track — with some slight rhetorical tweaking. Kohl’s touted the pair as “the first celebrity couple to simultaneously design collections for one retailer” when plans for the lines were unveiled in November. This weekend, a spokeswoman for the retailer said, “The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony brands have always been positioned as two separate, distinctive collections that offer high-quality contemporary style for men and women, and we look forward to a successful September launch.”

Rick Darling, president of LF USA, which is sublicensing the brands to Kohl’s exclusively, said, “We have two separate agreements with Jennifer and Marc and always intended to have separate lines. [Their split] doesn’t impact the agreements in any way.”

THE FRENCH LEGION: Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer of French luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, was made a Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor on July 14, Bastille Day. Lars Olofsson, the Swedish chief executive officer of retailer Carrefour SA, was declared an Officer of the Legion of Honor, France’s highest civilian decoration, in the annual list. And Alain Manoukian, founder of the eponymous French retail chain, was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor.

PROENZA DEAL: The marriage between Andrew Rosen and Proenza Schouler could be closer to coming to fruition with a deal likely to be inked before the end of the month, according to sources. As reported in December, sources have been speculating Rosen could be heading an investment group that would buy Permira’s 45 percent stake in the hot New York designer firm. The deal is expected to be separate from Rosen’s other role as founder and co-chief executive officer of Theory, where he also heads up Helmut Lang. Rosen has also invested in Alice + Olivia and Rag & Bone.

MODEL TWEETS: Could Jessica Stam be in a new Cover Girl campaign? On Sunday, the model tweeted that she was hard at work on a studio shoot “and it’s barely 6 a.m.” Those wondering just what Stam was up to had to look no further than makeup artist Pat McGrath, who replied that she was working with the model on a “fabulous new @Cover Girl project!” There was no further information on the nature of the project, which will surely be announced soon.

JUICY JUICE: Actress Elisabeth Röhm may have taken two years off from Hollywood to raise her daughter, but she kept her profile up by hosting an event for the Boys and Girls Club at Juicy Couture’s Malibu store, and starring in two action films this year, “Abduction” with Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins, and “Transit” with Jim Caviezel. Off duty, the Venice Beach-based actress loves “the California beach life” exemplified by Juicy. “It’s chic, not trendy. California isn’t about just wearing flip-flops.”

Meanwhile, Juicy’s founders, Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, saw the completion their noncompete period with Juicy parent Liz Claiborne Inc. on July 1 and are set to unveil their new line soon. The duo have moved on from the girly tracksuit look they made famous and were recently spotted in the neighboring Ralph Lauren store in the Malibu Country Mart.
