Knitwear Label Sibling Taps Barbie for Women's Collection

The label’s design trio are set to welcome a celebrity guest to their London Fashion Week exhibition later this month.

SIBLING GETS DOLLED UP: The designers behind London knitwear label Sibling are set to welcome a celebrity guest to their London Fashion Week exhibition later this month. The label’s design trio Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery has tapped Barbie to help them show off their Sister by Sibling collection for women. From February 18, Sibling’s exhibition space at London Fashion Week’s New Gen area will feature six Barbie dolls wearing miniature versions of Sister by Sibling’s fall 2012 collection, alongside the human-sized collection. Meanwhile, blown-up images of Barbie wearing the collection will be the backdrop to Sibling’s women’s presentation at Somerset House’s Portico Rooms February 18. The knit label is known for its kooky intarsia designs, which for spring spotlight images of pandas, dragons and lions. After launching its men’s wear in 2008, the label launched Sister by Sibling last season.
