Kering Adds Specialists to Sustainable Development Committee

The new technical advisory group includes John Elkington of Volans, conservationist Holly Dublin and environmental consultant Michael Wells.

KERING’S GREEN WAY: In a move to bolster its sustainability efforts, Kering has appointed a technical advisory group that includes three external members, including John Elkington of Volans.

The others, conservationist Holly Dublin and environmental consultant Michael Wells, join Gucci chief executive officer Patrizio Di Marco, Kering group managing director Jean-François Palus, board member Jochen Zeitz and chief sustainability officer Marie-Claire Daveu on the group, which is to provide technical advice and guidance to Kering’s sustainable development committee.

François-Henri Pinault, chairman and ceo of Kering, said the international specialists would provide “valuable insight on emerging global trends and perspectives from the academic field of sustainability.”

He noted that “we place sustainability at the core of Kering’s business activities and in all areas of governance.”

Kering representatives on the advisory group are to rotate for two-year appointments.
