HOGAN’S HERO: Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld — ever the over-achiever — to always design a collection with added value. For his third collaboration with Hogan, the designer will unveil a 32-page book alongside the stretch leather jackets, high-rise jeans, pleated leather totes and ballerina flats he created for the Italian brand.
“The first season we made a movie called ‘La Lettre.’ The second time there was an exhibition of photos, so this time I wanted something else because I hate to repeat myself,” said Lagerfeld.
The book features a sequence of photos and sketches of models Bianca Balti and Jacquelyn Jablonski wearing the collection, whose target customer Lagerfeld is loathe to pigeonhole.
“You know, there is not a special Hogan woman because it is supposed to appeal to so many different kinds of women. It’s always dangerous to say what a woman is,” he said.
