BURBERRY BEATS: British band Kaiser Chiefs took to the stage at the Burberry Acoustic event at the luxury brand’s flagship on Regent Street in London Tuesday night, kicking off a series of public music events. The 44,000-square-foot store was once a cinema and was designed with live music events in mind. Thus it was that the Leeds-based band entertained a 1,000-plus strong crowd that included Edie Campbell, Jack Whitehall, Ophelia Lovibond and Ted Hughes, who sipped on cocktails and enjoyed passed canapés.
“Music is an integral part of Burberry and so it was natural that 121 Regent Street, with its incredible performance space, should become a home for great live performances in the heart of London,” Christopher Bailey, chief creative office for Burberry, told WWD. “Last month we hosted the phenomenal Jake Bugg and last night The Kaiser Chiefs raised the roof, bringing the most incredible energy to our second Live at 121 event.”
