LONDON — Two longstanding London retailers — Joseph and Topshop — have big plans for London Fashion Week in February, WWD has learned.
Joseph will mark the 25th anniversary of its flagship boutique on London's Fulham Road by showing a collection during London Fashion Week. The show is set for Saturday, February 15, and is the first time that Joseph has staged a show during London Fashion Week.
Topshop, meanwhile, has secured Tate’s Turbine Hall as its autumn/winter 2014 show space. It is the first time that the space — which normally houses works and installations by major artists — will be used for fashion shows.
The first show in the new space will be Topshop Unique, followed by Simone Rocha, Michael Van Der Ham, Fashion East, Marques’ Almeida and Meadham Kirchhoff.
In past seasons, Topshop had shown in the underground space at Tate Modern known as The Tanks.
Topshop has been running a show space since 2005, and hosts designers from the Newgen and Fashion Forward sponsorship schemes as well as Fashion East.
