HOME BODY: Now that Jessica Simpson has two children, home was a natural extension for the brand. The designer, in partnership with brand master license Camuto Group, has signed an exclusive agreement with Peking Handicraft Inc. to launch a complete collection of bedding and home decor.
The collection will include comforter sets and duvets, embroidered quilts and bedspreads and accessories such as decorative pillows, bed skirts, euro shams, throw blankets and drapery, as well as sheet sets and basic bedding. The style direction is Bohemian prints, delicate florals and soft, romantic ruffles combined with more neutral textures and chambray in an assortment of hues.
“Home interiors have always been a passion of mine. I spend a lot of time at home and even more so as a mom. I always aspire to create a sanctuary for myself and my family,” said Simpson. “The collection is perfect for both the young lady who is setting up her first space and the family who is setting up their home.”
The bedding and home accessory collection will launch in spring 2014 at department and specialty stores. Comforter sets will retail from $149 to $179, with decorative pillows ranging from $40 to $60.
Simpson’s products span 30 classifications ranging from footwear, outerwear, sunglasses and swimwear to maternity apparel, toddler apparel, perfume, fine diamond jewelry, intimates, jeanswear and sportswear.
