Jason Wu Partners With St. Regis Hotels

As a brand ambassador, the designer will develop exclusive content for the hotel chain’s Web site and will produce fashion events around the world.

STYLE GURU: Jason Wu is about to be appointed a connoisseur at the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, a role held by polo player Nacho Figueras.

Wu will work as an ambassador for the St. Regis brand by providing a fashion perspective for the next generation of luxury travelers. Having previously shown his collection twice at the St. Regis, Wu will develop exclusive content for the hotel chain’s Web site and will produce fashion experiences and events around the world such as midnight suppers, a century-old tradition of the brand’s founding patroness, Caroline Astor. He’ll advise and consult on event decor, the guest list and production. On the Web site, Wu will share his fashion and travel inspirations from cities and exotic resort destinations he’s traveled.

Wu’s new gig will be officially unveiled Friday, following his fashion show earlier that day at Center 548, with a night-time party in Adour Alain Ducasse at The St. Regis New York.
