JACKET RACKET: Moncler premiered a 24-minute film by Bruce Weber on Sunday night. Titled “Don’t Steal the Jacket,” the short movie inspired the Italian brand’s fall-winter print campaign. Centered on Weber’s personal passions, such as dogs, it explores nature and children, among other themes, and boasts an original soundtrack by American band Radical Something. “I have six dogs, but no kids, and now I realize what it’s like to be a parent and how challenging it is,” said Weber, surrounded by a group of children who appear in the campaign. “I live in Florida part of the time and many of these kids are children of friends in Florida.” Moncler chief Remo Ruffini enthused about the three-year collaboration with Weber and its most recent outcome. “I was looking for a story that was not within the codes of fashion, in order to communicate in a different way,” he said. Weber couldn’t agree more, saying, “Fashion is so serious, it’s nice to be different.”
Channeling its inner child, Moncler hosted a festive dinner in the columned courtyard of the Teatro Litta decorated with balloons and enough popcorn, chips, candies and marshmallows to feed an entire school. Guests included Rosanna Armani, Erin O’Connor, Allegra Beck Versace and father Paul Beck, Matteo Marzotto and models Marpessa and Bianca Balti.
