STRENGTH IN NUMBERS: “United we stand, divided we fall” could be the slogan behind the latest decision of a group of Italian fashion trade shows. During a press conference held last week in Milan, Gaetano Marzotto, president of Pitti Immagine, and Stefano Boeri, Milan's culture councilor, disclosed they were planning to regroup Touch!, neoZone and Cloudnine, which are organized by Pitti Immagine, with Mi Milano Pret-à-Porter, so that they would show at the same time and at the same location. The project is expected to take shape in February 2013, and the shows are to be scheduled at the same time as Milan Fashion Week with the aim of attracting more buyers and journalists in town for the shows.
