Italian Fashion Associations Ask For Financial Support

Camera della Moda; Cosmit and Fondazione Altagamma asked the State for financial support.

CASH CALL: Three high-profile Italian fashion and design associations may benefit from a cash injection of 6 million euros, or $8.26 million at current exchange, to fuel creative projects and Expo 2015, to be held in Milan next year. In December, Italy’s fashion body, Camera della Moda; Cosmit, which organizes furniture and design show Salone del Mobile, and luxury goods association Fondazione Altagamma asked the State for financial support in a meeting with Carlo Calenda, vice minister of economic development. “It’s still work in progress,” said Mario Boselli, head of the Chamber of Fashion. “Let’s hope the backing takes shape.”
