I.T Hosts First Paris Dinner

The company’s chief executive discussed a store project in Beijing with Galeries Lafayette Group.

TABLE TALK: I.T chief executive officer Sham Kar Wai talked shop during the first dinner party the company hosted in Paris, for designers, executives and press, on Monday at the Mandarin Oriental Paris.

“A big thing for I.T, and also for Galeries Lafayette, is that next year we have a department store opening in Beijing,” he said. The 500,000-square-foot Galeries Lafayette Beijing location — part of a 50-50 joint venture between Galeries Lafayette Group and I.T — is expected to open in spring-summer 2013.

Gareth Pugh, Isabel Marant, Sarah Mower, Delfina Delettrez, Roksanda Ilincic, Adrian Joffe, Pierre Hardy, Ashley Heath, Karla Otto, Simone Rocha, Terry and Tricia Jones, Louise Gray, Penny Martin, Harriet Quick and Hiroshi Fujiwara were among guests attending the gastronomic extravaganza.
