Ippolita Store Bows on Madison Ave.

The boutique is one of twelve set to open in the next three years.

IPPOLITA STORE BOWS: Ippolita will open the doors to its first store today, located on Madison Avenue between 67th and 68th Streets. The boutique — one of twelve set to open in the next three years — will carry the brand’s full range of 18-karat gold, diamond and gemstone jewelry, as well as its silver and bridge Ippolita Rosé collections. Custom designed window installations are comprised of hand-carved bronze and travertine, and the center of the 500-square-foot boutique hangs a chandelier designed by Jess LaRotanda, fashioned from porcelain hand-gilded flowers. The shop will also carry a selection of vintage pieces, including a $7,000 18-karat gold and horn collar necklace. Chief executive officer Joe Cavalcante told WWD earlier this year that business has increased “fivefold” in the four years since introducing its silver range in 2008. He projects a 30 percent increase in overall business by year’s end, and expects the same growth trajectory for 2013.
