IN THE EAST: Tom Ford has tapped Jerome Cheung as chief executive officer of Tom Ford Asia Pacific, effective Tuesday, with responsibility for the entire region. Cheung, who was most recently president and ceo of Bottega Veneta Asia Pacific, succeeds Regina Lam, who exited Tom Ford on Monday. Earlier in his career, Cheung was president of Bottega Veneta Japan, president of Gucci Japan, and president and managing director of Gucci Group Guam.
Tom Ford directly operates six stores in Japan, four in South Korea, two in China and two in Hong Kong. Cheung reports to Tom Mendenhall, chief operating officer at London-based Tom Ford.
