Hussein Chalayan Launching New Label

The capsule collection will feature key pieces designed to be “a wardrobe with a modern relevance.”

CHALAYAN’S NEW LINE: Hussein Chalayan will launch his new label, Chalayan Grey Line, in New York during fashion week. The label, which comes in addition to the designer’s runway line, is a capsule collection of key pieces designed to be “a wardrobe with a modern relevance,” according to the design house.

 

The collection spotlights clean designs that play with proportions, such as cotton slipdresses, a simple shift dress with inventive draped details at the back and light outerwear in cocoon shapes. The line is done in a palette of white, gray, sage and tea rose, with a flash of tangerine. The spring collection will be shown to buyers at The News showroom during New York Fashion Week and is priced from 100 euros, or $140, for tops through to 520 euros, or $730, for outerwear.
