HOPS TO IT: Karl Lagerfeld has given the dirndl a high-fashion makeover. The designer has created a Bavarian-flavored capsule collection to debut at his new Munich concept store, slated to open in September. His dirndl, white blouse and pinafore — all done with a rock ’n’ roll edge and touches of black leather — will arrive just in time for the 180th edition of Oktoberfest, the giant 16-day beer festival held every autumn in Munich. The capsule collection will also be sold in Lagerfeld’s recently opened Berlin store.
