More fashion folk have raked in France’s legion of honor. Designer Sonia Rykiel, who is celebrating 40 years in business this year, was elevated to the rank of grand commander in the national merit system created by Napoleon Bonaparte. Meanwhile, Jacqueline de Ribes, née Bonnin de la Bonnière de Beaumont, was made a chevalier as part of the country’s traditional July 14 promotions.
