HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS: Calvin Klein Collection is no stranger to collaborating with architects, working with the likes of John Pawson and Shinichi Ogawa on special events. The current window installation at the Calvin Klein Collection flagship on Madison Avenue takes the Calvin aesthetic from minimal to mini. Architect Joshua Prince-Ramus and his firm, REX Architecture PC, together with Magnusson Klemencic Assoc. and Situ Studio, created the “Madison Avenue (Doll) House,” a futuristic structure displayed from suspension hangers. It features four fully decorated floors, replete with miniature replicas of Calvin Klein apparel, accessories and home furnishings, from clothing to tabletop. The idea was conceived by Calvin Klein Inc.’s senior vice president of creative services Dale Rozmiarek, and the miniature pieces were designed by the company’s creative directors Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli, Ulrich Grimm and Amy Mellen. The installation will be on display until Jan.5.
