Graydon Carter, Michael Roberts and Christopher Bailey hosted a preview of the Vanity Fair portrait exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Tuesday.

SALE OF THE CENTURY: Breaking up can be a hard thing to do, especially when it comes to special vintage pieces. On Tuesday, Yoox Group founder Federico Marchetti feted legendary lecturer Rosamond Bernier at the Four Seasons restaurant in anticipation of a sale of some of her vintage clothes. Veronica Bulgari, Tiffany Dubin, Anna Sheffield and Jason Wu were among those checking out the wares on display, which will be available on today. “When I started to lecture at the Metropolitan Museum many years ago, I thought of it as a performance,” Bernier said. “Instead of the routine little black dress, I would wear something more effective. Now that I don’t intend to continue this activity, stars from my wardrobe became ‘sleeping beauties’ in my closet. Then Marchetti came along like the Prince in the fairy-tales, to touch them with his electronic wand and waft them off to the vast world of the Internet.”
