Harvey Nichols Unveils Been Trill Collection

BEEN THERE: Launched by Harvey Nichols, the Been Trill capsule collection features 15 looks, the fruits of a collaboration between men’s wear designers including Kim Jones, Hardy Amies, Gareth Pugh, Shaun Samson, A. Sauvage — and Been Trill, the street wear brand, artists’ and DJ collective. Hardy Amies produced a jacquard tuxedo with a reversible waistcoat in black nylon, a double-breasted shearling coat, a black leather biker jacket and a shorthaired calf overcoat. A. Sauvage transfused its biker chic aesthetic into a full length leather coat, suede perforated tee, and biker jeans, while Pugh produced cape-backed jersey tops and winged trousers. Kim Jones offered a sporty mix including a white cropped bomber jacket and an Aertex t-shirt.

Been Trill “have taken the social platforms by storm and created a unique collective of music, art and fashion curators,” said Darren Skey, men’s wear buying and merchandise manager at Harvey Nichols. “Together with [them] we have hand-selected British designers that encapsulate the entire men’s wear spectrum, from Savile Row to street fashion creating an exciting proposition.” Harvey Nichols and Been Trill showcased the collection during London Collections: Men at a party at The Vaults, a grungy network of graffiti-covered tunnels near Waterloo Station. Guests included Paloma Faith, Nick Grimshaw, Daisy Lowe, Laura Mvula and Mary Charteris, with the folks from Been Trill at the decks.
