Harrods Sets New Fragrance Retail Concept

Its Salon de Parfums, on the sixth floor, will offer rare scents.

SIXTH SCENTS: Harrods plans to indulge its fragrance connoisseur clientele with a 5,090-square-foot retail space that will open on the store’s sixth floor, the Salon de Parfums.

 

The new space will be unveiled in September, and Harrods said it would stock fine and rare fragrances as well as offer bespoke and personalization services.

 

Eleven brands will have separate boutiques: Bond No. 9, By Kilian, Chanel, Clive Christian, Creed, Dior, Guerlain, Henry Jacques, Roja Dove, Tom Ford and Xerjoff. There will also be a separate fragrance gallery that will stock names including Thomas Kosmala and Bond No. 9’s Harrods Collection.

 

Mia Collins, head of beauty at Harrods, called the launch “a landmark addition” to the store’s perfumery portfolio and said the store would create an immersive fragrance experience.

 

“As fine fragrances become ever more desired for their sophistication and power to captivate the senses, we were inspired to develop a unique perfumery concept,” she said.

 

The store said the space will be done in soft grays and warm natural tones. The 11 brand boutiques will line both sides of a tiled corridor that will lead to the fragrance gallery.
