Guy Laliberte to Unveil Exhibition of Space Photos

All proceeds from the sale of the prints, as well as copies of “Gaia,” the Assouline-published book about the intergalactic excursion, will go to charity.

OUT OF THIS WORLD: Cirque de Soleil ceo Guy Laliberte will unveil an exhibition Thursday night that showcases the photos he took in 2009, when he became the first Canadian space tourist. The billionaire poker champ will sell 29 of the prints, as well as copies of “Gaia,” the Assouline-published about his intergalactic excursion. All proceeds from the Kiton townhouse party will benefit the One Drop Foundation, the nonprofit Laliberte founded to raise awareness about water shortages around the globe. Kiton’s Antonio Paone, Whitewall magazine’s Michael Klug and Prosper and Martine Assouline will toast the guest of honor.
