DAMIANI AWARD: Guido Damiani, president and chief executive officer of the family-owned jewelry firm Damiani Group, will receive on Thursday the “America 2013” prize from the Italy USA Foundation, an independent institution aiming to promote friendship between Italy and the U.S. The award, to be bestowed at Italy’s Chamber of Deputies, is assigned annually to eminent personalities who contributed to encourage and reinforce the relations between the two countries.

Damiani entered the U.S. market in the Sixties and currently operates two flagship stores in North America, in Los Angeles and Honolulu. The company also has a strong link with Hollywood’s film industry, including advertising campaigns with celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Sharon Stone.
